DAY 10: AKUREYRI

Saturday, June 3, 2017: We had a laid back day at the cabin today. It was nice and relaxing. The horses came by for a visit.

Out of nowhere, it started hailing.

We went grocery shopping.

And we walked around town.

The red lights in this town are shaped as hearts! And it's interesting that the yellow light is added to a red light just before turning green. It seems to help move traffic quicker.

Michael found an Icelandic cat that didn't scratch him!

FROM MICHAEL:

We did normal stuff today. We didn't go somewhere far, far away or didn't almost die in a waterfall. I feel happy and relaxed. We also bought water guns, so now we will have war in the hot pot.

FROM MIKE:

There are no can koozies in Iceland.

MY RANDOM THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY:

It was nice to relax.

It's still so beautiful here.

The English speaking channel on TV has a crazy, random showing of tv shows and movies. It goes from the Voice to the Biggest Loser to Glee to an Icelandic show to comedy sitcoms to a Judy Moody movie. And there are barely any commercials, which is nice.

A large take-out pizza is about $50. We bought three frozen pizzas at the grocery store for $11.

Only 5 days left.  :0(
