DAY 15: LAVA FLOW CAVE AND LAST DAY IN ICELAND

Thursday, June 8, 2017: Today is our last day in Iceland. We decided to go out with adventure and descend into a magma flow cave that formed in the year 900 AD. It was amazing!

Then, we sadly headed to the airport. :0(  Michael said he had a rental car to return, too!

Greenland from above! How cool is that?!

And we made it home safe and sound to our furr and fin and feather babies!

FROM MICHAEL:

I got to snuggle with AnaBanana. Yay!

FROM MIKE:

I drove around a country with no spare tire.

MY RANDOM THOUGHTS ON THE DAY:

I had an amazing time but it's always great to get back home.

I can't wait to sleep in darkness.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM THIS EPIC ADVENTURE:

ALWAYS TAKE THE TRIP!

I want to live where there are mountains just not ON a mountain....the roads suck!

I really love cooler weather.

I probably don't want to live where it is cloudy and gloomy all the time.

Use the mobile passport app to go through customs...it saves SOOOOO much time! Thank you, strangers in the airport who told us this great tip!

It's never too early to start planning the next epic adventure!

So, until the next trip, this is the Wandering Wrights hoping you all enjoyed our family adventure from the comfort of your computers and we hope to see you next time!

Wander often!

  1. It was great to follow your journey and experiences as you were going. And yes, travel, travel, travel, there is always a place to discover, those who travel are not the same person after the travel.
